Hi everyone, Louise here, I can’t believe it’s the end of March already and we are finally moving into Spring! Its been a busy few months since my last Blog, Fingerpost has grown, and our service offerings have diversified. With this in mind I wanted to share with you how the training aspect of the business has evolved!
Fingerpost has been involved in the development and or delivery of training course content for our clients pretty much since we were set up. This has always been on request from our clients and secondary to our more standard Market Access deliverables. Over the last year we have seen that there is a greater need for support in this area from our existing clients, and when speaking to new partners this service offering has been coming up more frequently as an area they need more support. A lot of our clients were telling us they know the value of training their teams, but they struggled to find the time to scope out the needs and develop the materials themselves. Because of these discussions we decided it was a great time to set up an arm of the business focusing purely on training.
Having worked in both Pharma and agency/consultancy environments I have been involved in developing /delivering training as well as being fortunate enough to have participated in some great independent training programs. In my academic days I was also involved in teaching / tutoring, so I have always had a keen interest in personal development and coaching. With all this in mind I was really excited about being able to develop this side of the business.
We have split the training deliverables we offer into two groups, the first being skills-based programs initiated to help enhance a particular skill set within a team / organisation, these programs are often developed in conjunction with the leadership of a company based on their assessment of their team’s needs / skills gaps. The other side of our training offerings is focused around building knowledge of a particular field / topic. This could be helping a group to get to grips with a specific area of Market Access.
With the bespoke development of programs, we look at the learning objectives and decide whether we need to bring in subject matter experts to help with content development. With our wide professional network, we have a great resource of knowledge to pull on. We offer our clients different ways of working, with the option of a full-service delivery where we develop the content and deliver this on your behalf, or we can pull together the training materials and leave you to deliver them to the participants.
Whether you have a current training need in your organisation, or you just want to pick our brains we would love to hear from you! We know that your people are your greatest asset and by developing them you not only aid their personal development you also help your business too!
